President-elect Trump has announced his appointment of Mike Huckabee as U.S. ambassador to Israel. Joel Rosenberg, founder of All Israel News, reacted to Donald Trump’s decision saying, “This is the first time that a devoted, openly unabashedly evangelical Christian has been appointed as ambassador to Israel from the United States.” It has been more than 20 years since a non-Jewish ambassador has been appointed to the post.
