Answering the call to be a brain surgeon at 8 years old, Dr. Avery Jackson III is now a board-certified neurosurgeon with a 15-year journey of training and specialized education. He is the founder, CEO and medical director of the Michigan Neurosurgical Institute, P.C., and has extensive training and experience in complex spinal and brain cases, as well as in minimally invasive procedures. Outside of his many medical accolades, Dr. Avery serves on the executive board of directors for Kenneth Copeland Ministries and is the bestselling author of the book The God Prescription, which highlights improving the health of spirit, soul and body.
Caramarie Christine Jackson worked as a registered dietician for 12 years before returning to school and graduating with a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies. In 2008, she arrived at the Michigan Neurosurgical Institute and became certified as a fracture liaison service coordinator through the National Osteoporosis Foundation. She assists both in surgery and in the clinic, where many patients with fragility fractures and chronic pain symptoms are seen. Caramarie also serves as the academic coordinator for MNI Great Lakes Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO).
